Hot Summer!

With COVID-19 restrictions eased, are you planning a trip to South Korea?

Have you just landed in Seoul and are looking for a quiet cafe to not only daydream about future travels but to plan your travels in Korea and beyond.

Neul Lounge is ideal as it offers you a relaxed atmosphere to indulge in this blog over a delicious coffee and cake or to browse one of the many travel books that will surround you.

Admittedly the cafe is tucked into the back street and is a short walk to the Han River for a lovely anytime walk!

Han River

If the weather is nice, grab a coffee and read ahead of a lovely ride along the Han River or find yourself with free time later and rent the Seoul street bike and take time to take a ride along the river. You won’t regret it!

Take time to watch this video from The Korean Herald to prepare to rent a bike!

The Seoul Art Center

The Seoul Art Center is one of the many galleries in Seoul. SeoulTheJourney found the availability of art galleries to be one of the best assets of the city and country!

The Seoul Art Center is one of the many galleries in Seoul. SeoulTheJourney found the availability of art galleries to be one of the best assets of the city and country!

Seoul Art Center opened with the Music Hall and Seoul Calligraphy Museum in 1988. Later, the Hangaram Art Museum and Art Archives in 1990 (we would suggest taking time to explore the number of galleries managed by MMCA beyond Seoul and to search out the National Archives if you are curious about architecture and history!).

The Seoul Art Center attracts millions of guests. In 2023 the center will celebrate its 30th Anniversary (#SeoulTheJourney hopes to visit during this important time!

Ahead of your next visit, we recommend checking out the website for events coming up!

IGA MART

For our Canadian readers, which we know, we have a good few!
We dare you to hunt down the handful of IGA Stores around Seoul.

There is certainly one near to the Seoul Art Center (infact, more!)

Andaz Hotel

Before the sunsets, we want to suggest that you head over to the Andaz Hotel to enjoy your bedroom and grab a coffee – unless it happens that you aren’t staying in this beautiful hotel!

We suggest you take the opportunity for an evening stroll around Apujeong and to find something delicious for dinner in one of the side streets or take time to relax in your hotel – admire the art and enjoy the great bar or the facilities.
